I didn't vote for John McCain, by the way.
What makes the economy work? Not the government. The American consumer does. You spend and companies will keep up production to replace the items that have been sold. Businesses will use tax breaks to invest in their own company. Maybe they will buy newer or upgrade manufacturing equipment. It's how businesses expand. I like keeping more of my money. I can use my money on whatever i want; A new car, house, stereo, furniture, or whatever i feel like spending it on. It's my money, not yours. The far left Democrats like to raise taxes. Why? Because (and they will tell you this, too) they create and fund current programs. The part they don't tell you is that it keeps people dependent on the government. I don't bash welfare. There's people in need of help and we should help those who really need it -- which is the elderly and children. Not lazy asses who want to sit home, watch Oprah and collect a check on my dime. I hate wasteful spending. Would you walk down your street and give away 27%, or more, of your paycheck to the people on your street? Hell no. Well, that's what the majority of today's far left-wing Democrats like to do. Redistribute wealth. Instead of creating an opportunity for individuals to go get an education and get a job, these socialist bastards prefer to keep poor people poor. How else can it be explained? Under 8 years of Bill Clinton, the same people who were poor then are poor now. If the Republicans are the party of the rich and do things to keep the rich wealthy and voting for them, then what does the Democrats, the party of the poor do to keep the votes coming in?
I like (unlike the Bush administration and other so-called Republicans) like to keep government small. Why? It keeps spending down. It keeps people from being too dependent on Uncle Sam. The Constitution does not guarantee anyone to be rich or poor. It guarantees you the right to be happy, to prosper and do your thing. To be able to dream and then live your dream, if you have the ambition.
Big government taxes people and business. And when i say business, that means all business. Once again, that includes the mom & pop convenience store on the corner. So, when everyone is over taxed, money is poured into programs to keep people dependent on the government. Of course, the Bush Republicans that had control of Congress from '02 to '06 spent like drunken sailors with no end in sight. Idiots.
Big government also includes too many laws. Why not enforce the laws we already have? Do you want the government to tell you you can't smoke in your car? Don't smoke? Oh. Well, when the government gets involved with your personal life, that's going to lead to more laws and restrictions. Want another example? Do you wear a seatbelt when driving or riding in a vehicle? If your state has a seatbelt law, you bet. Don't wear it and you get a hefty fine. Sure, seat belts are safe for the most part and i wear mine. But, back in the early-mid 80s, the states had to create that law or lose federal highway funds. There's the government in your life. Plus, that was gov't blackmail.
Oh, here's another example. In some states, you cannot use a cellphone while driving. Yepper, i know a lot of motorists are careless with them, but so are the one's smoking (like me), tuning their radio (me again), talking to their passenger (me one more time), & screaming at the kids in the back seat (not me...no kids). Where does the constitution give the feds a right to say you can or can't wear a seat belt or use a cell phone? The cell phone law is coming... just wait. The constitution gives the states the right to make laws that aren't in the federal constitution. So, if a state wants to make a law on cell phones, that's their right. But just be aware that the more you allow your state gov't to infringe on your rights, there's going to be more rights taken away in the future.
My point is where is it gonna stop? In your home next? Hmmm. Think of the Communists. The point is, the bigger the government is, the more of a say in your lifestyle it has in ways you can't even imagine. And the bigger government gets, the harder it is to bring back down to previous levels. That's a fact! No? Try to repeal Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid and see how far you get.
I want to see or read the news that's un-biased. Meaning, not to be leaning to one side or the other of the political spectrum. Fox Cable News does a good job of fair reporting. Liberals will tell you that Fox News Channel is biased towards conservatives or the right-wing. They tell you that because Fox is telling you the whole story, not just the liberal side or leaving out important tidbits. The media starts on something and generally only shows the liberal side. In 2009, we had the Climate Gate global warming e-mail scandal. Ok, good story. Yet, major news outlets in America didn't report it. The UK did, the Australians did. Quite a few foreign papers did. Not here though.<>Then we had the scandal (if you want to call it that) of Van Jones. He was a White House 'Green Czar'. The man had such a radical past that Glenn Beck started investigating it. He found quite a few glaring things from this man's past. Yet, nobody but Fox News even reported on it in normal news stories. I don't mean opinion shows, but news! Nobody reported it until he resigned because of the pressure of FNC. Man oh man, were the liberals ever pissed off at this.
Take the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (one of many) during the spring of 2002, for example. By watching network news, you were thinking the Israeli army totally destroyed the West Bank town of Jenin. Not so. They tore apart a large neighborhood where Palestinian terrorist suspects were hiding. The leftist media said, "Oh, they just went in there and killed the people." No, it was an armed conflict. Now, you are entitled to your opinion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but i prefer to get the whole truth.
Then we had Peter Jennings (R.I.P) of ABC News saying during the 9-11 attacks (in regard to President Bush flying from Florida to Louisiana to Nebraska) that "He should be in Washington giving the people some leadership, but some presidents are better at it than others." What pisses me off about that moronic statement is
1) During the 9-11 attacks, the Secret Service was in charge. Their job is to protect the President at all costs. If a president is going to stop in Los Angeles to have a sandwich, there is weeks of planning that goes into that. And that involves the highway patrol and the local police. During an attack on the nation, they take charge of his safety.
I do believe he has the right to his opinion, but there is a time and place for it. Just report the damn news. That's a journalists job. If you want to give your opinion, then you should get your own own talk show like O'Reilly, Hannity or Olbermann.
Then we have Dan rather of CBS News (now retired). During the 2004 Presidential Election campaign, Mr. Rather saw fit to get another story going about George W. Bush's National Guard record. Turns out that the source was a documented Bush-hater. Dan's staff didn't thoroughly check the story and source out very good. They ran the story anyway and a ton of bloggers found out the documents were forged using modern day Microsoft Word Processors. BWAH HA HA HA! Busted. You idiots. But you know what? The media here never ever questioned John Kerry when he ran against Bush about his DD180 form. That was about Kerry's military records. Kerry wouldn't sign and release the form. Nope. The media gave him a free pass on that and then they got busted on the Bush Nat'l Guard crap. Haw.
Then we have those on the left who hate Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Fine. I can respect that. But these idiots watch and listen to all those and then cry about what is said or reported. I've never understood that, for the life of me. These people watch FNC, listen/watch Rush/Hannity and then cry/whine the rest of the day about what they said? Ya know something? If something irritates me as much as these shows irritate liberals, i don't tune in. It's that simple.
Al Franken? Haw. I never listened to that liar. Yes, i can post a ton of lies and misrepresentation by Franken. By the way, i don't listen to Rush or Hannity on the radio so stick that in your orifice. By default, i knew that you think i do. Yep, that's how the liberal mind works. When all else fails, berate the opposition for listening to Rush.
Phil Donahue? I watched his show a few years back and then changed the channel. It was that dumb. It was cancelled due to nobody watching it. The guy is such a flaming leftist that when you watch him, you can see he has mental issues.
I never watch CNN, M$NBC or the other loser cable shows. I watch ABC Evening News. I used to watch NBC Nightly News till Brokaw retired. I miss Brokaw. Tom was a liberal but he reported the news. He was fair.
I never read liberal newspapers online, either. Too much bunk/spin and they always leave out important facts that the usual American doesn't bother searching for to see if there's any truth or misrepresentation to it.
Some people love being miserable all the time by listening to and watching things they hate. On the upside, they contribute to those evil corporations that they hate (advertisers) when they do.
The 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution plainly says; A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Gun grabbers always try to pervert this amendment by talking out the side of their necks when it comes to the meaning of a militia. So, i did the hard work for the moonbats out there. In the United States Code (USC) is a compilation and codification of the general and permanent federal law of the United States. It contains 50 titles and is published every six years by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel of the US House of Representatives. So, without further ado, the U.S. Code....
Title 10, U.S. Code, Chapter 13, Section 311
(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied
males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section
313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a
declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States
and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the
National Guard.
Kinda blows the argument gun-grabbers use when they twist of the meaning of 'the militia'.
How about this unbelievable idea?? Let's enforce the laws we already have on the books. We do? No we don't. Poor Johnny had a rotten upbringing and was an abused child. That's why he shot is family to bits. Oh. Ok. Let's give him probation. Maybe he'll learn his lesson. Slap that hand and send him home. Hell no. Put him in prison for 50 years and see if that makes your street safer. Sure does. That creep ain't crawling around no more.
Why don't parents educate their kids on the use of weapons?
Maybe it's normal, though. How many times have you seen a parent ask a crying child, "Did that bad ol' rock hurt your knee?" You have to blame something else, don't you?
People seem to have no problem blaming the firearms for deaths in Anycity, USA, even though logic will tell you that the person holding the gun was the guilty party. I doubt if she or anyone else would blame an automobile for a deadly crash, or a knife or a hammer for a death.
Why do people have to pick on a gun? It's simply a tool like any other inanimate object. Weapons used in gun crimes might be a semi-automatic weapon, like millions of hunting rifles in homes all over the world.
I personally don't understand the attraction of a rifle that looks like a military weapon, but I have no problem with it. It's like a Volkswagen Beetle with 12-inch racing tires. It looks fast, but it's really something else entirely.
No, the National Rifle Association doesn't own the White House or Congress, and the lawsuits that the NRA is fighting are the frivolous ones that blame the manufacturers of firearms for crimes committed with firearms.
I should say also that the NRA isn't trying to arm everyone but rather to guard the legal ownership of weapons for personal protection and sporting activities. Rocket launchers and fully automatic weapons are illegal, and the NRA fully supports those laws.
Remember this old saying? Outlaw guns and only outlaws will have guns? How about this: Outlaws and the government will be the only one's with guns.
Guns cause crime like flies cause garbage. Guns cause crime like spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.
Abortion is not a right in the U.S. Constitution. Where is it in there? It isn't. Look at the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution --
Pretty simple. Anything basically not covered in the Constitution is to be left to the States to decide. Period. It's a individual state issue, not a Federal government issue. But liberals make things up to suit their convoluted ideology. See where i'm going with this? The USSC ruled in 1976 that the death penalty isn't unconstitutional; meaning that there's nothing in it forbidding it. So, they turned it back to the states. Some states have it, some states don't. That's how it should be with abortion. The abortion issue wouldn't be such a big deal except that the left wing and right wing make it a big issue instead of more important issues.
This country has freedom to be religious or to not be. Got it? If i want to practice Wiccan or the Church of Satan, that's my right. I don't practice those, by the way. Quit telling people that those religions can't exist.
Then we come to the atheists. You guys (and the ACLU) really make yourselves look silly by all the crap you pull. A majority of Americans are really getting sick of the forced secularization being thrown in our faces. I recognize your right to be atheist. Just quit trying to erase religion from the USA, ok? It ain't hurting you... unless some religious nut case is knocking on your door 3 nights a week or trying to legislate religion onto you via gov't.
Some blowhards in this country spew about the "separation of church and state" over and over. There is no such thing in the constitution. The proposition in the constitution was not that the church and state should be separate, but rather that "Congress shall make no law regarding an establishment of religion." In other words, the state should not establish a religion. The federal gov't can't tell you to be a Catholic or Methodist or Muslim.
Reading the Constitutional history must lead one to the conclusion that the founding fathers were united in their opposition to the state religious establishments in Europe; from the Pope ruling over Catholicism to the Church of England controlling and controlled by a Sovereign.
America was established as welcoming and protecting the free expression of religious beliefs of all kinds. The prohibition was not meant to squelch religion or the practice thereof, but rather to prevent the state from taking over religion and using it as a tool of control. Speaking of a tool of control; we have today's Democrats. Most of their pet issues are control issues.
Somehow, we have erase this heretical phraseology regarding the "separation of church and state." This statement itself is a creation of the secularists who would use the repetition of this concept with the intention of eventually destroying all churches, in favor of the state.
Think about that.
Geez, do i sound like i have disdain for the fundamentalist Christians and other fundamentalist in the religious circles?? Dang right i do. I have in for them AND the nutty anti-religion secularists. Both of you... sit down and shut the fuck up.
Religion is the politics of God. Man misinterprets what God says and uses it to oppress others and garner power.
Religion is not God. God is not religion. You don't need religion to worship God. God does not need religion to reach you.
I'm not against folks saying what's on their minds but when it comes to the left-wing nuts of Hollywood and the rock & roll community, they let their mouths flap away not thinking about what their fans might think. Remember, you Hollywood fantasyland nuts, we moviegoers pay your salary. Same goes for you nuts in the rock & roll world. If we don't buy your records, dvd's or go see your movies, you go belly-up.
• They like to destroy the environment.
• They want to lay waste to land and lakes.
• They want to kill the animals in the Alaskan National Wildlife Preserve while they drill for oil.
Bullshit. This is a dangerous group of people, the environmentalist radicals. Not the typical American who wants clean air and water and so on. Look at groups like the Earth Liberation Front. These stupid crack-pots go around burning down apartment complex's under construction and automobile dealerships that sell the evil s.u.v. and a few other deeds. All in the name of the 'environment'. These assholes are nothing but domestics terrorists. They need to be arrested, tried and sent to jail.
Look at my page on environmental radicals if you want to read more.
I constantly hear that "they just want to make a better life for themselves" or "they do the jobs ordinary American's won't do." Bull - Fuqqin' - Shit.
First, if these people want to make a better life for themselves, stay in their country. Make your own country better.
Second, jobs that illegals take are one's that have been deflated monetarily by the employers. (Let's fine those employers for breaking Federal law, too.) They pay these people little to nothing and these illegals think they are making some big money. Of course they are, compared to the third world cesspool they came from. But, if they pay an illegal $4 an hour to lay bricks when it used to pay $9 an hour, you tell me what American is going to work for that?
Third, these invaders use up our social services meant for U.S. citizens. They have no right to any of our social services. Yet, they fill up the hospitals and the dumbass lawmakers of both parties in Washington D.C. make laws to provide welfare for these people. Take a good look at California. That state has been run over by illegal immigration. And the Democrats in California have made it soooo appealing to these people by making laws as i stated above. Illegal immigration has bankrupted California as of 2009 thanks to the liberals controlling the legislature there. I say we should deport each and every illegal immigrant we come across.
No, i'm NOT racist. Most Americans have ancestors who came to America from other countries to find better lives or escape persecution, or for many other reasons. Many of those people were so thankful to have made it here that they got down on their knees and kissed the ground. They had to promise to uphold our laws and give allegiance to this wonderful country. They even worked very hard to learn English and to make sure it was spoken in their homes.
Those immigrants from long ago didn't have anything handed to them on a silver platter like the scum of today. Many of those immigrants fought for our country. They did so because they loved our country and had gone through the proper channels to make it their home. They were here legally.
There's a difference between a legal alien and an illegal alien. Whenever people do something illegal, they're expected to pay the consequences. I sincerely believ that those who come here legally have a right to be here and have a right to pursue whatever dream they have. So, shove the "you're a racist" tag up your ass.
These immigrants shouldn't expect amnesty or special treatment. It's a privilege to live here and be a citizen of the United States. It's not something that those from other countries should expect to have simply handed to them.
And by the way, when ya come to the United States to live or work, the language is ENGLISH that we speak here. Not Espanol, Somali, Chinese or Mandarin. It's E-N-G-L-I-S-H.
And if I want to criticize a person who is white, black, Hispanic or asian; then that's my right to do so. Minorities in this country can criticize the white man all they want and get a break by doing so all the time. Whites get the racist tag wghenever they say something about blacks that's not politically correct. Bullshit. Fair is fair. If i criticize you, it don't make me a racist.
2) Jennings should've kept his comments to himself and just fuqqin' report the news.
(b) The classes of the militia are -
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard
and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of
the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the
Naval Militia.
